Ali is passionate about supporting the emotional and social development of individuals. She has extensive experience working with young children,
adolescents, and families.

Ali holds two Bachelor degrees (Education and Science) and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She is a registered Clinical Psychologist and has recently completed her PhD in Medical Studies. Ali has worked as a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) support provider since 2013 but has chosen to no longer be registered. However, she can work with NDIS participants who are self- or plan-managed.

Ali is a trained facilitator in the latest Secret Agent Society (SAS) program, which is a social skills program for 8-12 year old children with social and emotional
challenges such as ADHD and autism.

Ali is skilled at treating a wide range of mental health issues, drawing from therapeutic models including:

• Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

• Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

• Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

• Schema Therapy

Ali has a particular interest in working with individuals who have neurodevelopmental conditions and/or those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, and relationship difficulties. Ali enjoys working with families using a family systems approach. This method considers the family as the client rather than
one individual from the family unit. Family members are invited to participate in finding solutions to the current presenting issue.

Ali has a special interest in autism across the lifespan (all ages). Ali has specific training and experience in psychological assessment of autism, cognitive abilities, and learning difficulties, as well as challenges with memory, attention, behaviour, social skills, mental health, and wellbeing.

Ali is always very happy to work collaboratively with medical professionals (GPs, Paediatricians, Psychiatrists), allied health professionals (Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Pathologists), teachers, and school psychologists to conduct thorough assessments and discuss behaviour management plans.

Ali offers ongoing post-diagnosis support.
