Linda is a registered
psychologist who is currently completing the Educational and Developmental
registrar program. She completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) in London,
UK and a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology in Melbourne,
Australia.
Linda has extensive
experience working in both private and public settings, including hospitals,
schools and private practices. She has substantial experience in working
therapeutically with children, adolescents and adults.
She has a passion in
assisting people in optimising their growth and well-being. Some special
interests include anxiety, depression, learning difficulties, building
self-esteem, emotional regulation and parenting and includes interventions for
diagnosis such as ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Treatment takes a
person-centred approach and is tailored to suit the individual needs of the client.
Linda aims to establish a strong therapeutic relationship, assisting each
client in their growth and development, using a strength-based approach.
Therapeutic approaches are generally based on Attachment-Based Psychology,
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
and Social Skills training, using mindfulness as a frequent tool. The approach
used depends on the individual’s needs.
She thoroughly enjoys
working with clients and is passionate about assisting each individual client
to develop their inner strengths and to thrive in their different environments.
She is a mother herself and enjoys spending time with family, practicing yoga,
reading, cooking, nature walks and travelling in her spare time.
