Dr Ross Kirkman is a Consultant Psychiatrist who obtained Fellowship in 1992. He has worked primarily in private practice, with previous public sector experience as a Senior Psychiatrist at Peninsula Health from 2001 to 2005. Dr Kirkman has lived in Hobart since 2005 and was the founding Clinical Director of Rivendell Clinic in Burnie, Tasmania, until 2012. He was also a founding psychiatrist with GP2U in 2011 and has worked exclusively via telehealth since 2012. Dr Kirkman has extensive experience in telepsychiatry and provides psychiatric assessment and treatment through online consultations.
His areas of interest include:
- ADHD
- Autism
- Mood disorders
- Anxiety disorders
- Gender-affirming care
Dr Kirkman sees patients aged 16 years and over, through to older adults, mainly treating:
- ADHD and autism
- Mood and anxiety disorders
- Gender-affirming care
- Psychiatric assessment for Early Release of Superannuation related to IVF
Dr Kirkman does not see:
- Schizophrenia
