Jacqueline “Jackie” Coetzee is a registered psychologist with 21 years’ experience. She began her career in sexual assault counselling and domestic violence counselling as a provisionally registered psychologist, while also providing psychological intervention in an adult community mental health setting. In 2007, Jackie moved into private practice as a fully bulk-billing psychologist, receiving referrals from GPs under Mental Health Care Plans. She later relocated from Cairns to Townsville in 2015 and joined a bulk-billing group practice, receiving referrals from GPs, Veterans’ Affairs, Employee Assistance Program providers and Work Cover. Jackie also worked as an independent contractor with Open Arms for four years. Jackie works from a person-centred perspective and uses evidence-based therapies to support patients in reaching their therapy goals. Her approach is compassionate, authentic and dynamic, with a focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for patients.
