What is a Psychologist?

Psychologists are mental health professionals trained to help individuals understand and manage a wide range of emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges. They use evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to help you build coping strategies, improve relationships, and foster personal growth.

Unlike psychiatrists, psychologists do not prescribe medication but focus on talk therapy and behavioral interventions to address mental health concerns.

When should you see a Psychologist?

You may consider seeing a psychologist if you are:

  • Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unable to cope
  • Struggling with negative thought patterns or behaviors
  • Seeking support for personal or professional challenges
  • Experiencing relationship conflicts
  • Looking to improve your emotional well-being
