Dr Andrew Wilson is a member of the RANZCP Faculty of Adult Psychiatry and has more than 30 years’ experience in psychiatry. He has previously worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist at St Vincent’s Hospital in Darlinghurst, Sydney, where he led an integrated inpatient and community team, as well as a young persons’ early intervention team. He has also held positions at Prince of Wales Hospital and St George Hospital in Sydney, in addition to many years working in private practice. Dr Wilson has a strong interest in regional and remote telepsychiatry and previously founded a telemedicine company. He has been working with PSYCH2U for six years.
His areas of interest include:
- Mood and anxiety disorders
- PTSD
- Psychosis
- Chronic fatigue
- Chronic pain
- ADHD
Dr Wilson sees patients aged 17 to 75 years, treating:
- Mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, ADHD and PTSD
- Workers compensation and accident-related presentations
- Patients with intellectual disability and behavioural concerns
Dr Wilson does not see:
- Patients under 17
- Gender dysphoria or gender-related presentations
- Eating disorders
- Dementia
- Firearm assessments
- Primary drug and alcohol presentations
- Primary criminal court report matters
