Dr Chikramane has worked in the field of psychiatry since 2009. She has worked in Tasmania between 2009-12 as well as various hospitals across Sydney, NSW since 2012. She has experience working in in-patient as well as community mental health settings. During her Consultation Liaison Psychiatry roles, she has provided psychiatric care to patients under the care of several medical specialities. 

She has previously worked as a Staff Specialist at the Sydney Local Health District and worked as the Consultant psychiatrist for various departments such as the Western sector Acute care service, Buduwa Step- up/ Step-down unit, Suicide prevention and outreach team (SPOT) and the Camperdown Holistic Early Intervention Team (HEIT). She has been working as a telehealth psychiatrist with PSYCH2U since 2022.

Dr Chikramane uses the conversational model of therapy while interviewing patients to provide a feeling of safety and develop a therapeutic relationship based on trust and respect.

She works collaboratively with patients, their families, and carers. She uses research-based treatment approaches and focuses on patient-centred care, tailored to the patient’s goals in recovery.

Dr Sandy Seton-Browne has been working as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for the last thirty years, initially in the UK, where he trained, and for the last ten years in WA.

Sandy has experience working in the community on In-patient wards and in acute psychiatry. Dr Seton-Browne currently sees patients from 13 to 24 with a particular emphasis on mood disorders (such as depression and anxiety) and complex Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. 

Dr Seton-Browne works collaboratively with young people and their families to undertake a comprehensive assessment of their needs and in treatment planning. Sandy is well versed in psychopharmacology and prescribes medications when these are indicated. Sandy’s main therapeutic approach uses both a solution focused model and cognitive behavioural ideas. 

Sandy unfortunately does not undertake medico-legal work and does not carry out assessments for autism spectrum disorders. However, Sandy will see people on the spectrum, where there is a comorbid mental health problem.

 Other area’s Dr Seton-Browne can see are, Borderline Personality Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Gender Dysphoria and Transgender.
