Xin Yang is a registered psychologist with experience across psychology, education, student wellbeing, disability inclusion and private practice settings. Prior to becoming a psychologist, Xin trained and worked as a teacher, giving her a strong understanding of child development, learning and educational environments. She works with children, adolescents, young adults, parents and adults experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural and life challenges. Her approach is warm, practical and collaborative, with a focus on helping clients develop effective coping strategies and make meaningful, sustainable changes.
Her areas of interest include:
- Anxiety, depression and adjustment difficulties
- Parenting stress and emotional regulation
- ADHD and executive functioning
- Learning difficulties, school refusal and study skills
Xin Yang sees patients aged 4 years and over, school-aged children, adolescents, young adults, parents and adults, supporting:
- Psychological intervention and counselling (not formal psychological, cognitive, educational or diagnostic assessments)
Xin Yang does not see:
- Clients requiring crisis intervention or experiencing acute suicidal risk or psychosis
- Eating disorders or AOD concerns
- Forensic, medico-legal, psychoeducational or comprehensive NDIS assessments or reports
