What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?

If you need to cancel or re schedule your appointment it's important that you give us as much notice as possible so that we can try to avoid delays in scheduling with your chosen clinician. If you give us more than 24 hours' notice of cancellation, there are no consequences, and we can reschedule your appointment at no extra cost. However, if you provide 24 hours' notice or less, your deposit will be forfeited, and your appointment will need to be rescheduled. For further details, please refer to our terms and conditions.

What happens if I don't attend my appointment?

If you miss your appointment without providing at least 24 hours' notice, you will be charged the full fee for your booking.

How does online Psychology and Psychiatry telehealth work?

Online mental health services, also known as telehealth, involves virtual sessions through a secure video conferencing platform. It allows you to connect with a Psychologist or Psychiatrist from the comfort of your home using a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

How do I schedule a telehealth session?

Scheduling is easy. You can book online, call our admin team on 1300 472 866 or email us at support@psych2u.com.au to set up an appointment. Our team will guide you through the process.

How do I pay for my telehealth sessions?

We accept credit/debit card payments. You will be asked to provide your credit card details securely at the time of booking upon which a deposit will be taken. The remaining balance will be charged on the day of your consultation. Details will be provided during the initial consultation or can be found in our Terms and Conditions on our website.

Is telehealth covered by Medicare?

To be eligible for a Medicare rebate, you will require a valid referral from a GP or specialist and in the case of psychology appointments, a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan. If you need further information, please refer to the Medicare website to determine your eligibility or call our admin team at 1300 472 866 for more information.

Is telehealth covered by my Private Health Insurance?

We recommend checking with your Private Health Insurance provider to determine whether there are any rebates for telehealth services. If you are covered by your insurance, we will provide you with the necessary documentation for re-imbursement.

What happens if there are technical issues during a session?

In the rare event of technical issues, our team will work with you to troubleshoot or reschedule the session at no cost. If you are experiencing technical issues please call 1300 472 866 and press option 5 for technical support.
