Dr Ranganath “Rang” Rattehalli is a Consultant Psychiatrist with more than 20 years’ experience working in Australia and the United Kingdom. After completing his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Bangalore University in India in 2000, he undertook psychiatry training in the United Kingdom before moving to Australia. Dr Rattehalli has expertise in treating resistant psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, OCD, adjustment disorders and PTSD, using a combination of psychological approaches and medication. His work in these areas has been well recognised in the Brisbane region. Dr Rattehalli has a strong interest in research and teaching and has held an honorary Associate Professor position at Griffith University School of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in London. He is accredited in Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania to assess permanent impairment arising from psychiatric disorders and is able to provide medico-legal reports for solicitors, insurers, government bodies and courts.

Dr Vivek Phutane is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), with 16 years of experience working as a psychiatrist. He has completed Advanced Training in Psychiatry of Old Age through the RANZCP and has extensive experience in the assessment and management of adult and older adult mental health conditions. Dr Phutane joined PSYCH2U/GP2U in September 2025 and provides psychiatric assessment and management through telepsychiatry. He currently works as a Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Director of the Adult and Older Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Service at Goulburn Valley Health, where he is also Director of ECT Services. He has worked across inpatient, community, older persons’ mental health, psychogeriatric and telepsychiatry settings, and has also worked as a locum psychiatrist with Albury Wodonga Health. Prior to coming to Australia, Dr Phutane completed his psychiatry training at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, India, and subsequently worked for three years as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, USA.

She began her career in sexual assault counselling and domestic violence counselling as a provisionally registered psychologist, while also providing psychological intervention in an adult community mental health setting. In 2007, Jackie moved into private practice as a fully bulk-billing psychologist, receiving referrals from GPs under Mental Health Care Plans. She later relocated from Cairns to Townsville in 2015 and joined a bulk-billing group practice, receiving referrals from GPs, Veterans’ Affairs, Employee Assistance Program providers and Work Cover. Jackie also worked as an independent contractor with Open Arms for four years. He was previously Scientia Professor of Psychiatry at the University of New South Wales and is currently an Emeritus Professor. Dr Silove has worked across hospital, community, public sector and private practice settings in Sydney. He has also undertaken major research and development projects both within Australia and internationally. Dr Silove has been awarded several large-scale research and development grants, including funding through the NHMRC, and was awarded Membership of the Order of Australia (AM) in recognition of his significant contributions to psychiatry.
